An artist recognized for his contemplative songwriting and lyrical guitar work, Adam Kirk has worked as a recording and performing musician for the majority of his life. He has played venues from the local pub to Carnegie Hall, notably touring as guitarist for Joan Baez and Sinead Lohan.

As a songwriter, Kirk follows a lineage of artists that draw inspiration from both the world around them and that of a more ethereal plane. While living on the Isle of Wight he collaborated with folk musician Paul Armfield and Scottish singer-songwriter Eddie Reader, among others.

After relocating to the San Francisco area, Kirk has continued to hone his craft as a solo act and with artists such as Sean Hayes. He can often be seen testing out a new song at the historic Sweetwater Music Hall.

Since the birth of his son, Kirk has also realized a passion for teaching. Both privately and in formal educational settings (The New Village School, North Bridge Academy and Marin Montessori), he has assisted students in developing musical skills and interest. With enthusiasm and positivity he passes on his knowledge of guitar, drums, keyboard, ukulele, voice, recording and songwriting.

Kirk is available to book for performances and bespoke classes.
